Following advice from our professional association, the Royal College of Chiropractors and our statutory regulator, the General Chiropractic Council, we are now able to offer 'hands on' appointments for urgent and emergency cases.
If you are overdue for a previously scheduled appointment, we will be contacting you in the coming days to discuss your treatment needs. If you have a more pressing problem, please contact the clinic and we will be happy to triage you to determine the best course of action.
For cases which are non-urgent, we will continue to provide video consultations and appointments. For people needing to self isolate or shield themselves at this time, this allows us to help you from the comfort of your own home.
During the last two months , we have conducted hundreds of 'remote' appointments, for both new and existing patients and are impressed with how much it is still possible to do: clinical history, orthopaedic testing and diagnosis, and how many resources are now available for video exercises, modalities, posture, ergonomics and directed self-treatment. We have also found that patients find it particularly useful having access to a helping pair of hands from any co-inhabitants.
We are awaiting further clarification as to when we can further expand our services but this will be based on Governmental advice and its interpretation by our professional bodies: rest assured all changes to practice life are being accompanied by the most careful consideration of safety for our patients, our staff and our clinicians including special provisions for more vulnerable patients.
We are, as ever, open 9-7 on weekdays and 9-1 on Saturdays and will be progressively increasing the level of availability over the coming days as staff return to active duty … in the mean time, if you get our answering service, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as the duty chiropractors are available. Answer phone messages outside of working hours are being monitored regularly.
Thank you for your patience and please stay safe.
